EAJRSとNIHUの連携に基づく日本研究・人文学リソースガイド共同編集プロジェクト
The Co-editing Project of the Resource Guide for Japanese Studies and the Humanities in Japan Based on the Collaboration between EAJRS and NIHU
NIHUとEAJRSは2025年4月から正式な協定のもとで、オンラインリソースガイドの共同編集プロジェクトを開始した。私たちは共同で編集グループを組織して、研究リソースの専門家によって継続的にこのリソースガイドの質の向上・維持に当たっていこうとしている。
リソースガイドは人文学や日本研究に関する、主に日本や国外の研究機関の資料に関するURLを集めたディレクトリである。昨年度から今年度にかけてサイトの改修を進め、新たに以下のような機能を追加した。
- リソース全体を検索する。任意のテキストで検索が可能。
- 掲載中のリソースの一覧を一括でダウンロードする。CSVとRDF（JPCOARスキーマ）での入手が可能。
- 掲載するべきリソースについて一般から提案を受け付ける。
共同編集の編集者グループでは、提案のあったリソースについて採否を決定し、分類や短いディスクリプションを追加するなどすることでカタロギングし、リソースガイドで公開する。また独自に新規リソースの発掘・掲載を行ったり、既存のレコードのメンテナンスを行ったりする。
この活動によって、特に日本の国外での日本研究・人文学の研究リソースへのアクセスを向上させ、研究の促進に寄与できることを目指す。編集者としてこの活動に参加してくださる方のお申し出は随時受け付けている。今後に向けてさらに連携活動の充実を図っていく予定である。
In April 2025, NIHU and EAJRS launched a collaborative project to co-edit an online resource guide under a formal agreement. Together, we have established an editorial group composed of experts in research resources, with the aim of continuously improving and maintaining the quality of the guide.
The resource guide is a directory of URLs related to the humanities and Japanese studies, primarily focusing on materials held by research institutions in Japan and abroad. Between last year and this year, we have carried out a site renovation and introduced the following new features:
- Full-text search functionality across all resources.
- Bulk download of the listed resources, available in CSV and RDF formats (using the JPCOAR schema).
- A public submission system for suggesting resources to be included.
The editorial group reviews submitted resources, determines their suitability, and catalogues them by adding classifications and brief descriptions before publishing them in the guide. The group also actively identifies and adds new resources, and maintains existing records.
Through these activities, we aim to enhance access to research resources in Japanese studies and the humanities, particularly for scholars outside Japan, thereby contributing to the advancement of academic research. We welcome expressions of interest from those who wish to participate in this initiative as editors. Looking ahead, we plan to further strengthen and expand our collaborative efforts.
