Events surrounding the 35th EAJRS conference in Heidelberg
Wednesday 10 September
18:00 Reception at Bel Etage, Old University (free)
Thursday 11 September
18:30 Traditional dinner (€60) at Kulturbrauerei (Leyergasse 6, 69117 Heidelberg)
Participants can choose between two main dishes:
- Tender pork fillet with mushroom cream sauce, seasonal vegetables and homemade spätzle (German egg pasta)
- Homemade cheese spätzle (vegetarian)
Friday 12 September
16:00 excursions (it is strongly advised that participants gather in front of the places at 15:45)
- Guided tour of Heidelberg castle (€17), limited to 30 participants
- Guided tour of the Völkerkundemuseum vPST (Ethnological museum) (€7), limited to 30 participants
- Guided tour of CATS Library (free), limited to 30 participants
Saturday 13 September
13:30-14.30 Lunch boxes provided by our caterer (10 euro)
Participants planning to attend the subsequent boating tour, are recommended to order a lunch box due to time constraints between the general assembly and the excursion.
Others are welcome to order a box as well; people should choose in advance if they need a vegetarian option.
14:30-17:45 Boat excursion "Four Castles" through the beautiful Neckar valley with Weiße Flotte (€45, drinks included)
(it is strongly advised that participants gather at the pier at 14:00)
Please note that registration for this event is required by August 12th at the latest. We apologize for the early deadline, but the boating company needs to confirm participant numbers a month in advance.
