Research Projects and Documentary Corpus of the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM)

The main purpose of this presentation is to feature research projects undertaken at the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM) since 2006 and to disseminate their research results. These included organising two main exhibitions, Macau, The First Century of an International Port and Tomas Pereira (1646-1708): A Jesuit in Kangxi's China; collecting various editions of resources; publishing studies and proceedings of scientific meetings; and holding international symposia, multiple conferences, seminars and offering training courses.

We also intend to give detailed information on the CCCM's Library, which holds the most complete documentary corpus on Macau and China, especially Ming-Qing China, in Portugal. The CCCM Library is a research library, serving the academic communities both domestic and international, with various collections of sources and up-to-date bibliographies available in different languages. In this presentation particular attention is given to the documentary sources that are part of the Library's collection.
